Safari (version 2) was the default browser with Mac OS X 10.4 at the time of its release in 2005. Although the browsers market share is lower for OS X, it is still one of the most popular browsers available on the Mac platform. Chrome/ium dropped ML in mid 2015 and is recently starting to have serious issues.

Mac OS X Snow Leopard (version 10.6) is the seventh major release of Mac OS X (now named macOS), Apples desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers. Second choice would be FireFox, who dropped support in mid 2017. Mozilla Firefox is a cross-platform browser, providing support for various versions of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Pale Moon is the only browser actively developed on Mountain Lion, even if not officially.

#FIREFOX FOR MAC OS X FOR MAC OS X#
Since Mozilla is ending its support for Firefox for Mac OS X 10.6.8 through 10.8.5 by the end of this August, how are you going to continue Waterfox support for these OS X versions, since it seems that Waterfox's core comes from the Mozilla group, directly, and I see your current version of Waterfox for Mac is exactly the same as Mozilla Firefox. While insecure versions of Firefox will continue to work on OS X 10.8 and earlier, using an up-to-date version of Firefox on a supported version of Mac OS will provide you with the best and safest. Note: If you have Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) or 10.6 (Snow Leopard), you will need to download OS X El Capitan before you can upgrade to the latest Mac OS.
